Our town

Landshut – a city full of hospitality and charms is Lower Bavaria`s seat of government. It looks back on a 800 years lasting history and is famous for its monuments and art treasures.
You`ll find an abundance of sights here, which form the unique city profile, for example the church St. Martin with its highest steeple in the world made of bricks, the castle Burg Trausnitz, town hall and many more..
But Landshut`s architecture is not the only thing which fascinates, but gives also an interesting offer related to art and culture. There`s a highlight in almost every month of the year. Short movie festival in March, summer festival in July, Buskers festival in September, pottery markets in springtime, autumn and winter. There are also numerous festivities and concerts in the romantic ambiance of the courtyard of the residence and at the castle Trausnitz. It doesn`t matter at what time you`ll visit Landshut – it will always inspire you!
A good traffic connection, high spending capacity and well balanced industries mark out Landshut as a brilliant business location, as there are E.ON hydro power, Brandt chocolates and BMW factories, which produce light metal casting motors and thereby make Landshut to a F1-motor-town.

Nature

Landshut`s beautiful surrounding opens up varied ways to discover and experience the special ambiance on small paths and hikingtrails.
Designed by Friedrich Ludwig von Sckell in 1784 as the first English Garden in Bavaria is Hofgarten, which adjoins to castle Trausnitz.
The protected area Alter Standortübungsplatz Landshut – military drill ground – extends from the valley of river Isar across the steep hillside forests into the softly waved hill country.
The Isar-bicycle-trail runs approx. 255 km along the river Isar from Mittenwald through the Alps to Bad Tölz, and continues through a wide valley across Munich, Freising, Moosburg and Landshut to Plattling.
